Burglary Security Solutions
Like many clients we were the victims of two burglaries at our property. Both involved outbuildings, not the main house, but nevertheless we were left feeling somewhat vulnerable. After the first burglary we upgraded our alarm system and installed CCTV, for the second burglary all that brought us were images of 4 men in hoods who were totally unidentifiable.
We decided it was time to investigate a protection dog. We spoke to two companies before calling K9 Protector, neither were helpful on the initial call, it was all about the sale rather than finding a dog to suit our needs. On calling K9 Protector we experienced a totally different approach. Our initial call was with Sian who could not have been more helpful; she spent 30 minutes on the phone to us to understand our needs and our situation. We have a rural home, 3 children, two other dogs, a cat and ideally wanted a dog which would be good with horses- not an easy list! Sian was confident she and Alaster could help; it would just need a bit of time to find the right dog. What was so refreshing was that there was no pressure, it was clear that unless they felt 100% sure we had the right dog for our household they wouldn’t sell one to us.
My wife and I drove down to Bath to meet Sian, Alaster and the team, we spent a good amount of time talking about our home setup, the other dogs, our cat and of course our children. Alaster and Sian selected a shortlist of four dogs to meet, all of which were lovely. We got to see all 4 dogs ‘in action’ and chatted through their characteristics and how Sian and Alaster thought they might fit in with us. We chose a lovely female who suited us best as a family and shortly after our dogs went on a doggy holiday to stay with Alaster and Sian such that they could socialise with our new protection dog. A few days later all 3 dogs came back as good friends and have got on really well since they came home around 8 weeks ago.
***** has been a wonderful addition to our house. She is absolutely adorable, a great family pet and it is clear her natural instincts are to look after us, she has grown attached to us all very quickly. She is a great visual deterrent and it is clear people are wary of such a dog when they see her. Our son said something very insightful, ‘It’s not that I ever felt unsafe living here but it’s incredible how much more safe I feel with ***** here with us’. A sentiment we all share.
Of course, we have had a few questions over the last couple of months but Alaster and Sian have been on hand to answer everything. We have exchanged messages and had follow up calls which have quickly answered our questions.
We have no hesitation in recommending K9 Protector to anyone looking for a protection dog. Alaster and Sian are incredibly knowledgeable and will help you every step of the way.

Family protection dog for home and business premises
We had planned to get a family protection dog for our home and on-site business, but this was brought forward after an outbuilding break in and the inevitable "what if" scenario had someone entered our home.
From the start Alaster and his team were professional, informative and a pleasure to work with.
The elite protection dog we originally picked didn’t take to our squashed face Boxer, not something that could have been predicted. They started off well but didn't bond.
Alaster was on hand throughout guiding and supporting us. In time it was decided that there was a better match for our family and what a match he was. The way in which Alaster handled this was second to none.
It confirmed that they're not just about selling a dog but finding the best option for you and supporting the family long term.
Little did we know what a huge impact our lovely boy would have on the whole family. He is so caring towards the children, a best friend for our Boxer and peace of mind for ourselves. His handling is exceptional, he is always on guard but also loves a fuss.
The boarding and top up training have also been fantastic, we wouldn’t trust anyone else with our boys when we are away.
We can enjoy our family home to its fullest having him by our side. Thank you K9 Protectors, we are looking forward to adding to our pack in the future.

Elite protection dog
Affectionate yet high-level of security protection dog for our London home and work - the perfect combination
We've had our elite protection dog for nearly 3 months and we couldn't be happier. Alastair and Sian have been absolutely amazing throughout.
As new dog owners living in Central London, without a garden and with both of us having busy jobs, we had a lot of queries and concerns about whether our lifestyles and the environment would suit a protection dog.
We needed a dog that provided a high-level of protection but was also sociable, as we have frequent visitors in the house and my husband wanted to take the dog to work. We had also just finished a full interior design and renovation of our house and wanted to be sure that a new dog wouldn’t undo all our hard work.
Alastair and Sian were extremely patient and addressed all our questions. They identified a lovely Belgian Malinois named Lxxxx who they thought would suit all our requirements. Initially, we were concerned about whether a Malinois would fit our lifestyle.
We had read that they are high-energy dogs that require constant exercise and mental stimulation.
We visited Bath to meet Lxxxx, Alastair and Sian, and we spent at least two hours talking with them about how we lived and whether Lxxxx would be a good fit.
After nearly 3 months, we can say with certainty that Alastair and Sian's assessment was spot on. Lxxxx is extremely happy with us and we built a very close bond with her really quickly. We cannot imagine life without her.
She fits into our life perfectly. As long as she's close to her humans, no matter where that is, she’s content.
In the time we've had her, Lxxxx hasn't had a single potty accident or caused any damage around the house.
While she enjoys long walks and fetching her ball (or frisbee), she also knows how to be calm when we need to work and loves a good snooze while we watch TV.
Her obedience is also excellent, all the time. Whether at home, work, or out and about getting a coffee, or in the park. I now have much more peace of mind when I'm alone at home, knowing that no one will come through the door without me knowing, and that Lxxxx is ready to jump into action if needed.
What surprised us most is how affectionate Lxxxx is. We’ve never met a dog that enjoys cuddles more than she does, and she's truly a joy to have around.
Alastair and Sian have supported us every step of the way. We've had a WhatsApp group with them from the beginning, and they're always available if we need advice.
They’ve had infinite patience with us.
Getting Lxxxx is the best decision we've ever made. Not only do we have a protector always looking out for us, but we also have the most loving, family pet we could hope for.
It's been a great journey, and we would make that decision again in a heartbeat.

We welcomed one of K9 Protector’s Elite trained German Shepherds into our family which was one of the best decisions we ever made.
Our need for a protection dog became apparent following a break-in to our home, despite an alarm system, full CCTV coverage and 24-hour security patrol.
Needless to say, those measures no longer gave us peace of mind, especially as the intruders were in and out within 5 minutes. Furthermore, CCTV footage of the intruders was not sufficient enough for them to be caught, leaving us very anxious that they may return.
With four children in the house, it was a top priority to find a security measure that was robust and immediate should it ever happen again. A protection dog was suggested to us, ironically, by our security company!
Having never owned a dog before, we were initially hesitant, but decided it was absolutely necessary for our family’s wellbeing.
After spending lots of time researching protection dogs and liaising with various providers, K9 Protectors rose to the top.
We spoke with Alaster and immediately knew we were in good hands. He diligently walked us through the process and was beyond helpful with providing us with a dog which best suited our family (child friendly & cat friendly!).
As part of the process, Alaster and his team gave demonstrations of how their dogs respond to threats and are obediently trained which was all very impressive! We chose one of their top-level Elite protection dogs.
We welcomed her into our home a week later.
Alaster and Kieran provided two days of thorough protection and obedience training upon handover. The whole process was so smooth, yet meticulously done that we felt at ease as soon as our protection dog moved in.
Over a year on, our wonderful girl has cemented herself as a member of the family. She’s loving, social, loyal, and will protect us with her life. She remains very well-behaved and is brilliant with kids. She’s a big deterrent for any potential threat and seems to always be ‘on duty’ guarding our family and property. We enjoy real peace of mind having her in our home as we know she’ll keep us safe.
Alaster and his team continue to be a helpful source of support with refresher training, general advice and great dog boarding facilities for ****** while we’re travelling. We couldn’t recommend K9 Protectors highly enough as they’ve genuinely helped change our lives and gave our family something we never knew we needed – beautiful ******!

Hi Alaster, I just wanted to say I honestly can’t thank you enough for introducing ilee to our family! She is an amazing dog, loyal and so obedient, and has put us all at ease when she is with us.

We honestly couldn’t be more in love with her. As you know our main concern was her around our young children, she has been absolutely amazing! The kids love her so much. We were hugely impressed at the outset by the attention to detail in understanding our situation and requirements before even visiting K9 Protector and selecting our dog. The selection itself was not an easy task given the quality of dogs shown to us but Alaster and Sian were very generous with their time in answering questions on the day and later when we followed up with more questions. We had the strong sense that they were always trying to be helpful with their answers, were never pushy and only gave us their opinion on our final choice of dog when we asked for it.
The handover experience itself was a joy with Alaster being clear as to what we were going to do and why. We felt in very safe, experienced hands and this made an intense couple of days fly past. We have been overjoyed with our new family member who is settling in well, is amazingly well trained and whose character is exactly as was described to us. So I’d say that in our experience Alaster and his team really know and care about their dogs and train them to a very high standard (including being trained to be well behaved indoors). We would recommend them without hesitation.

K9 Protector provide such a comprehensive service, incredible dogs and fantastic communication. So much so, that we have recently returned to buy our next dogs, after losing our first, knowing the standards and quality we would be investing in. There is time between committing to purchase and when the dog is available to come home with you. This is when you can organise your home and learn your commands and actions using the videos provided. Coming back for handover day is fabulous, there's nothing better than applying your newly learned skills with your new companion. No need to feel awkward, there is humour and kindness as you train but be prepared for an intense day.
Our experience has always been of a well kept clean site with exceptional, healthy and well adjusted dogs, a fully explained training package and quick responses to after care messages. Being a repeat customer was like coming home, Al and his team helped to heal our hearts and our new dogs have made our new house a home.
